Ask Me Anything.

Well, almost anything. Here, I'll start you off.

Q. Do you have any books out?
A. Ooh, funny you should ask! Just in time for your summer breakup comes my second book, Love Me or Go to Hell: True Love Cartoons! All about those pesky boyfriends (and you know who you are), and those who I still crave...This is my second time as editor (I also edited a Barnes & Noble Calendar), and I rather like being the boss! And of course that means I got to include my own very outre and out-there cartoons, never before seen by the viewing public...
My
first book, by NBM Press, What Do Women REALLY Want? Chocolate!, is a whole book of cake and ice cream cartoons! Limited edition, hardback, now out of print. Both books are available, signed with an original drawing, on my book page.

Q. Are you part of any cartoon groups?
A. I'm in the Cartoonists Association (which is part of the esteemed National Writers Union - I write as well as draw all my cartoons, and editors really appreciate this multi-tasking!) and sometimes I'm in the National Cartoonists Society and CAPS. Depending. I'm also a member of the LA Press Club (which I'm told lets me get really really close to crimes and accidents, though I've never put this power to the test, but which definitely gets me into some really cool parties) and the Scriptwriters Network.

Q. Oh, do you have any scripts that have been produced?
A. Not yet.

Q. Do you have a lot of plates on your table?
A. Absolutely! Oh, I see a hand up there in the back. Yes?

Q. Do you get free meals?
A. No, only from people who love me or are gourmet cooks. I don't have an expense account, double darn.

Q. Who are your favorite cartoonists?
A. Ooh, that's a good one. The New Yorker guys were great, weren't they? About 10 or 15 YEARS ago, that is. Gary Larsen put the dark side into the comics page. Think about it - no one tried anything new, or talked about oddities and, ok, death, til he came along. Thanks, Gar. Currently I love Zits, Mutts and the new Brewster Rocket, or whatever it's called. Robotman (now called Monty) and Dilbert are just genius. For my girl talk I go to Luann or Cathy, but I also kinda like tippling Lila. And my outstanding contributor to the calendar and the Hell book, Stephanie Piro, does great cats.

Q. What's your favorite flavor?
A. What is this, a joke? Chocolate, and hurry.

Go ahead, ask. Or go home.
